The Way, the Truth, and the Life

John 14 is the setting for I AM statement number 6 from Jesus. John 13 sets the stage for this comforting announcement of Jesus as he communicates to His disciples about his upcoming departure, the betrayal of one of their own, and the revelation of Peter's upcoming betrayal. The room is full of gazing eyes and perplexing wonder as to what is about to happen. Jesus then shares with them that there is more to come after death, but that the only way to get to that place is through Him. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
