The Light of the World

In the second week of our I AM series we focus on John 8:12-21, where Jesus declares, “I am the light of the world.” Preached in the context of the Feast of Tabernacles, this sermon unpacks the bold claim that Jesus is not merely a guide but God in the flesh and the only rescue from spiritual darkness. While the religious leaders resist Him in spiritual blindness, the broken who come to Him in humility receive sight and life. Ultimately, the cross and resurrection prove that darkness does not win and that Jesus alone can rescue us from spiritual darkness.
